Purdue Aviation Day 2024 Executive Board
Purdue Aviation Day is not just an annual event, but also a student organization with an Executive Board of 21 passionate and hardworking aviation students. They work together to plan and deliver the Greatest Spectacle in Collegiate Aviation to thousands of guests each year. They are united in their mission to make aviation accessible to all.

Executive Director and President
Jonah Rifkin
Jonah Rifkin is the Executive Director and President of Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior majoring in Aviation Management and Economics from Birmingham, Michigan. In his free time, Jonah enjoys being outdoors and doing activities like mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and sailing. He also likes traveling, watching college football, and cooking. He can’t wait to see everyone at Purdue Aviation Day 2024!
Executive Director and Head of Operations
Jeffrey Watts
Jeffrey Watts is the Executive Director and Head of Operations for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. Jeffrey is a junior and Certified Flight Instructor studying Professional Flight from Denver, Colorado. In his position, Jeffrey assists with the planning and execution of Purdue Aviation Day and works behind the scenes to coordinate PAD's aerial demonstrations. His passions include Denver sports, spending time with friends and family, and Metallica. He is excited to see his grandparents at this year's event!
VP of People
Annabelle Abair
Annabelle Abair is the VP of People for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a senior majoring in Professional Flight Technology and minoring in Organizational Leadership. She currently works as a Certified Flight Instructor for Purdue and after graduation, she is excited to return home to the Colorado Rockies and continue instructing. Her ultimate career goal is to be an airline pilot and in her free time, she likes reading, lifting, and hiking.
VP of PR & Guest Experience
Annika Knott
Annika Knott is the VP of Public Relations and Guest Experience for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a senior majoring in both Professional Flight and Aviation Management and works as a Certified Flight Instructor at Purdue. Her ultimate career goal is to fly internationally as a Captain for a major airline. In her free time, Annika enjoys running, reading, traveling, watching Purdue sports, and volunteering at the local humane society.
VP of Airside Operations
Grahm Pelowski
Grahm Pelowski is the VP of Airside Operations for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior from Jordan, Minnesota studying Professional Flight. Outside of Purdue Aviation Day, Grahm is also the President of Aviation Ambassadors and also works for Endeavor Air as a Brand Ambassador. In his free time, Grahm likes to play golf and basketball and enjoy the great outdoors!
VP of Communications & Activities
Nick Chrysogelos
Nick Crysogelos is the VP of Communications and Activities for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. Nick is a senior from Orleans, Massachusetts studying both Aviation Management and Atmospheric Science with a minor in Economics. This year, Nick looks forward to returning to the main stage as the voice of PAD! Nick also serves as a Co-Chair of the Aviation Technology Student Council (ATSC) and will be a Meteorology Support Intern at United Airlines. In his free time, Nick enjoys traveling, hiking, rowing, golf, and Boston sports.
GA Ramp & Fly-In Director
Martin Tibets
Martin Tibets is the General Aviation Ramp and Fly-In Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. In three years he completed Bachelor's degrees in both Professional Flight and Aviation Management and he is currently completing his Master's in Aviation and Aerospace Management while working as a Certified Flight Instructor and Dispatcher at Purdue. Martin is from Boston, Massachusetts and in his free time he enjoys golfing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
Landside Operations Director
Ryan Boe
Ryan Boe is the Director of Landside Operations for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a senior majoring in Aviation Management and minoring in Real Estate from Gainesville, Florida. Outside of academics, Ryan enjoys spending time outdoors, on the beach, jet skiing, biking, and attending car events and races. Following graduation, Ryan will be working in an Airport Operations role at a large airport in Florida.
Marketing & Social Media Director
Aarya Deshmukh
Aarya Deshmukh the Marketing and Social Media Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a senior majoring in both Aviation Management and Aerospace Financial Analysis and she is from Edison, New Jersey. In her free time she enjoys flying, playing volleyball, traveling, and volunteering. Aarya will be starting her full-time position as a Technical Analyst at Oliver Wyman CAVOK after graduation.
Marketing & Design Director
Trevor Allen
Trevor Allen is the Graphic Design Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior studying Professional Flight and from Memphis, Tennessee. In his position, Trevor assists with the various signage, logos, advertisements, and photography related to the event. He also works at Purdue as a Certified Flight Instructor and wants to fly long-haul routes with an airline once he graduates. Outside of aviation, his passions include oil painting, photography, and going to the gym.
Sponsorship Director
Kelsey McShay
Kelsey McShay is the Sponsorship Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a senior studying Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET), interested in pursuing a career in Defense, and she is from Carmel, Indiana. Outside of school, Kelsey enjoys weightlifting, growing her faith, and writing for a website dedicated to bringing awareness to Type 1 Diabetes. Kelsey thanks each and every one of the volunteers, sponsors, and guests that make this event possible, and hopes to make it the best one yet!
Volunteer Coordination Director
Madelyn Kelly
Maddy Kelly is the Volunteer Coordination Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a junior majoring in Professional Flight Technology with a minor in Earth, Atmosphere, and Planetary Science. She is from Seattle, Washington and enjoys hiking, running, and traveling. She currently works as a Flight Instructor and Dispatcher for Purdue University and looks forward to interning with Alaska Airlines SMS program this summer at home.
Administrative & Procurement Director
Brandon Snyder
Brandon Snyder is the Administrative and Procurement Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior majoring in Aeronautical Engineering Technology from Palm Beach, Florida. In his free time he enjoys golfing, skiing, going to professional sporting events, and working around airplanes at his local airport. He will also be returning to Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia in Operations Engineering for his 2nd Co-op rotation.
Community Affairs Director
Lauren Bakun
Lauren Bakun is the current Community Affairs Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is majoring in both Finance and Aviation Management and is from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Professionally, Lauren interned in Dallas with Southwest's Airport Affairs department last summer, and starting in May she will be in Atlanta as a Finance Intern for Delta Air Lines. In her free time, she enjoys watching Purdue basketball, trading stocks, going to the gym, and traveling to new places.
Guest Experience Director
Berkeley Kelly
Berkeley Kelly is the Guest Experience Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a junior majoring in Professional Flight Technology from Eagle, Colorado. She is employed at Purdue as a Certified Flight Instructor and after graduation she plans to be a pilot for the United States Air Force. In her free time enjoys cooking, hiking, skating, and being outdoors.
Safety and Compliance Director
Alex Jeynes
Alex Jeynes is the Safety and Compliance Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. Alex is a junior majoring in both Airport Operations and Airline Management from Traverse City Michigan. In his free time he enjoys fishing, camping, hanging with friends and being out on the water. Looking at his academic career, he has had an Airport Operations Summer Internship at Cherry Capital Airport for the last 2 years.
Finance Director
Landen Stewart
Landen Stewart is the Finance Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior majoring in both Professional Flight Technology and Aviation Management from Rockville, Indiana. He serves as the Treasurer for Alpha Eta Rho Beta Chapter and is interested in pursuing a career in business aviation or aviation management. Beyond academics and organizations, Landen enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and playing golf.
Parking & Transportation Director
Kyle Holiday
Kyle Holiday is the Parking and Transportation Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a sophomore majoring in both Professional Flight and Aviation Management and is from Long Island, New York. He enjoys playing golf, attending Purdue basketball games, and photography in his free time. Having volunteered for the event last year, Kyle hopes to draw on his experience to continue to improve the parking arrangements for guests at PAD 2024.
Youth Activities Director
Shaylee Laubach
Shaylee Laubach is the Youth Activities Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a junior majoring in Professional Flight Technology and minoring in Religious Studies. She is from Orange County, California and loves spending time with family, going to amusement parks, relaxing at the beach, and playing board games. Shaylee is also the current president of the Purdue chapter of Women in Aviation and is passionate about seeing more women thrive within the aviation industry.
Activities Director
Allison Boyd
Allison Boyd is the Activities Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. She is a junior majoring in Aeronautical Engineering Technology from Washington, Indiana. Outside of academics, she loves the opportunity to learn more and has interned at NASA JSC, Lockheed Martin, and will be interning at Blue Origin in Summer 2024. In her free time she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and working as a flight simulator technician at the Purdue Airport.
Vendors & Facilities Director
Sam Beers
Sam Beers is the Vendors and Facilities Director for Purdue Aviation Day 2024. He is a junior majoring in Professional Flight from Villanova, Pennsylvania. Sam works as a Certified Flight Instructor at Purdue and would like to pursue a career in the airline world as a commercial pilot. In his free time he enjoys golfing, watching all things Philly sports, and spending time with friends and family.
